Nintendo has released Tears of the Kingdom, the latest installment in the long-running Legend of Zelda series.

In this action-adventure series, players guide protagonist Link through the open world of Hyrule to find Princess Zelda. Fans have waited six years for a sequel to the hit Zelda game Breath of the Wild, which was released on Nintendo’s Switch console.

Reviews of Tears of the Kingdom has received “universal praise” from critics, according to aggregator Metacritic. The site tells users to come back tomorrow night (May 13th) to leave a review and encourages them to play more games before leaving a review. Fans, meanwhile, are sharing first shots, screenshots, joys and sorrows of the game on social media.

Another Twitter user called the game “an absolute work of art.”

Hyrule’s expansion, which includes more environments and possibilities, seems to excite fans, despite concerns that the sheer size of the game will overwhelm newcomers.

Twitter user @daveymilkshakes1 said, “I’ve been playing the new The Legend of Zelda: Kingdom of Tears for over 5 hours and I’m just getting started!”

Another man joked,”You can reach me again in about a fortnight.”

The Guardian’s video game editor Keza MacDonald wrote in her five-star review of the game, “I feel like I can never finish this game.” He said, “Every time you think you’ve got it under control, new vastness is revealed.”

Meanwhile, according to the Video Games Chronicle, a speedrunner looking to blast his way through the game in record time has already beaten Tears of the Kingdom in less than two hours.

Thousands of people lined up at video game stores around the world when Tears of the Kingdom hit stores late at night.

Tokyo and New York saw long lines of people trying to buy the game, with some die-hard fans lining up for two days.

And Nintendo of America President Doug Bowser showed up at Nintendo’s New York store to sell the first copies to fans.

Breath of the Wild has received a score of 97/100 based on critic reviews and a user rating of 8.7 out of 10 based on nearly 20,000 reviews on Metacritic.

It has won multiple awards and is considered by some to be one of the greatest games of all time.

The Legend of Zelda series producer Eiji Aonuma and the game’s director Hidemaro Fujibayashi told fans in a video message on Friday that Tears of the Kingdom will be made accessible to new players and Breath of the Wild said it was providing the kind of entertainment that players wanted.

Critic review

BBC games correspondent Stephen Powell said the game is a “free-roaming role-playing experience with a huge canvas for storytelling” and not just a sequel to its predecessor.

He said of Hyrule’s voyage, “I encourage you to use your imagination to solve puzzles, craft weapons, and fight to defend the land from Ganondorf, tribal chief and villain.” Games writer Gene Park of The Washington Post called it “the most comprehensive Zelda story yet.”


As per reports the game is very big in size and has great graphics which will amaze the gamers. As Zelda series is a huge game around gamers and Tears of the Kingdom has hit the stores after about 6 six it is already a hit among the gamer world. As fans had to wait a long 6 years for the game to be released as a result fans of Zelda series got in long queues before the game hit the stores.
